ENERGY STAR is a labeling program founded in 1992 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) designed to identify and promote energy-efficient products to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce energy use. The ENERGY STAR label is on major appliances, office equipment, lighting, home electronics, new homes, commercial and industrial buildings and more. With the help of ENERGY STAR, Americans saved enough nearly $18 billion on utility bills and reduced greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to that of 33 million cars in 2010 alone.

WaterSense is a program founded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which seeks to protect the future of our nation's water supply by partnering with manufacturers, retailers, distributors and utilities and offering simple ways and labeled products to use less water with efficient products, new homes, services and more. WaterSense also partners with irrigation professionals and irrigation certification programs to promote water-efficient landscape irrigation practices. Products and services that have earned the WaterSense label have been certified to be at least 20% more efficient without sacrificing performance.

The Green Chamber of the South brings together businesses and organizations across the Southeast to promote the growth, innovation and success of sustainability. Founded in 2008, they connect sustainable businesses, clean technology companies and corporations with sustainability programs, nonprofits and government organizations throughout the Southeast so that they may create enduring business connections, share best green practices, learn from one another and create new green jobs. The Green Chamber is dedicated to profitable sustainable business growth in the Southeast United States.

The National Save Energy Coalition is comprised of over 100 national organizations and companies seeking to make sustainable energy a top legislative priority. In 2008, their first campaign sought to make efficiency a focus of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. With their help, funding was secured for low-income home weatherization, state energy initiatives and energy efficiency and conservation investments.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non-profit organization committed to a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings. They founded the LEED® green building certification program, which is a voluntary rating system for buildings designed, constructed and operated for improved environmental and human health performance and emphasizes state-of-the-art strategies in sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials and resources selection and indoor environmental quality. USGBC lead a diverse constituency of builders, environmentalists, corporations, nonprofit organizations, elected officials, concerned citizens, teachers and students.

The Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance (SEEA) promotes energy efficiency for a cleaner environment, a more prosperous economy, and a higher quality of life in the Southeastern region of the United States. They promote energy efficiency as a viable tool for strengthening the regional economy, protecting the environment and increasing electric reliability. Through its programs, SEEA seeks to improve air quality and stimulate job and economic development in the region.
